The Helpline is here for you.
Problem gambling can be treated – and there’s help available. You deserve support, and the Helpline is here so that you don’t have to do it alone.
About the Helpline
The Massachusetts Problem Gambling Helpline is the official problem gambling helpline of the Commonwealth, funded by the Massachusetts Department of Public Health.
We provide education and information about problem gambling, share resources and referrals to treatment organizations or other services, and support individuals, families, and providers any time they need it. We don’t sell anything or operate any treatment programs.
Our services are free, anonymous, and confidential. Trained staff who understand problem gambling are here to provide compassionate and nonjudgemental help to anyone who needs it.
Whether you are experiencing problem gambling yourself, or you are concerned about your loved one or a client, we are here for you. When you call or use the website, the Massachusetts Problem Gambling Helpline will:
- Ask you questions to assess your needs
- Provide referrals to treatment and recovery services
- Answer your questions about problem gambling
- Direct treatment providers to problem gambling training and education resources
Additional support for providers
The Helpline not only provides resources and service referrals. We’re affiliated with the Massachusetts Technical Assistance Center for Problem Gambling Treatment (M-TAC), to build the knowledge and capacity of providers.
